During the Coronavirus school dismissal, this page will include daily updates regarding ideas for learning at home or important information about Beehive.
IMPORTANT UPDATE (5/18/2020):
Today's the first day to return Chromebooks! You can return them to Beehive until 2:00 pm, today through Wednesday, May 20th.
When you come to return materials, please also BRING BACK any packet work that has been completed so far. I will grade packet work and update missing assignments and quiz scores. If I can't see your child is completing work online or in a worksheet packet, then I have to give them a zero for their missing assignments and quizzes.
Thanks for all your help and understanding during these unprecedented times!
Please know that all of us here at Beehive miss you, and we're looking forward to seeing you at the Farewell Parade on May 21st (more information to come later). In the meantime, watch this video we made just for you:

Please note that this is simply a SUGGESTED schedule to help you fit in all of your child's learning activities within a day. You are welcome to follow the time-of-day suggestions, or simply follow the number of minutes suggested for each activity and do the activity whenever it fits into your day. UPDATE MARCH 24th:
School Dismissal has been extended through May 1st. We will have another distribution day on Monday, March 30th (more details to come) for students to pick up supplies and packets. Remember, breakfast and lunch will continue to be served at Beehive from 8:00 - 9:00 am and 11:30 -1:00 Monday - Friday.
Ms. Black, our school Art Teacher, would like all students to know she misses them and hopes that each student will email her photos of any art work they complete during the dismissal. She will post the photos to her virtual gallery. If you'd like to create art for Ms. Black, visit her website: https://msbsartspace.weebly.com/distance-learning.html
UPDATE MARCH 25th:
Here is another great resource to use during the school dismissal! This resource was shared by our school social worker, and is a great tool to practice mindfulness. Mindfulness has many great therapeutic uses. It is used to help manage anxiety and stress, helps build the ability to focus and maintain attention, helps with emotion regulation, and increases compassion for self and others (something the world needs more of during this challenging time)!
These free classes are live at the listed times. However, they will be posting their recorded classes on the website as well, so you can take the class with your child/ren at any time during the week.
You can access the free mindfulness classes here: https://www.mindfulschools.org/free-online-mindfulness-class-for-kids/#episodes
Also, I have created a Daily Check-In Form for our class. Students can fill it out each day if they would like me to know how things are going at home, or if they would like to ask me a question. Use this link to check-in with Ms. Fairbanks: Google Doc Check-in Form
